Questions, answered.
Quick answers about how Manifold works, what's included, and how it compares to other publishing tools.
What does Manifold actually do?
You write one source post per topic. Manifold creates per-platform variants — different copy, hashtags, media, and timing for LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and Pinterest — and publishes them on the schedule you control.
Which platforms are supported?
LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Instagram (photo, reel, story), Facebook (page + reel), Reddit, Pinterest (board + pin), WordPress, YouTube (channel uploads), and Imgur. WordPress is included for syncing source posts back to your blog.
Can I publish to multiple brands from one account?
Yes. Each "site" you create is a fully isolated brand — its own credentials, posts, assets, and team roles. Switch between brands from the top bar; nothing cross-contaminates.
What happens when my OAuth token expires?
Most platforms auto-rotate. For LinkedIn, X (OAuth 2), Pinterest, YouTube, and Imgur, Manifold refreshes tokens silently before they expire. For platforms with short-lived tokens (Facebook page tokens, Reddit), the panel surfaces a warning 14 days out so you can re-authorize before anything breaks.
Do you offer scheduled publishing?
Yes — drag posts onto a calendar, set the publish time per variant, and the scheduler ships them. Each platform variant can have its own time and date, so your LinkedIn post can go out Tuesday morning and your Instagram reel Wednesday evening from the same source post.
Is there an AI assist for drafting variants?
Optional. When you connect an OpenAI key (per-site, or admin-wide), an "AI draft" button generates a platform-appropriate version of your source post — respecting platform tone, length, and hashtag conventions. You always review before publishing.
How does pricing work?
Per site, not per post. Starter is free for one brand. Studio is $29/site/month for up to ten brands. Every plan includes every platform — there are no "premium tier" add-ons. See /pricing for details.
Can I self-host?
Yes, under Apache 2.0. The full codebase is available; you provide the database (Postgres) and storage (any S3-compatible bucket) and run it on your own infrastructure. No usage caps when self-hosted.
Where is my data stored?
For the hosted service: Postgres (Neon, us-east-1) for posts, users, and metadata; Cloudflare R2 for generated media; Fly.io for the application. Per-platform credentials are encrypted at rest. See /privacy for the full breakdown.
What if a platform's API changes?
We patch and ship. Manifold is built and maintained by a team that uses it daily for their own brands — if a publish flow breaks, our content stops shipping too. Status of integrations is on the changelog.
How do I get support?
